�We are proud to announce the grand opening of the Cardiology clinic in Morrisville
and Cary NC. Champion Vascular Care, a Cardiology clinic, which will be the run by Yale University
and Cedars Sinai, UCLA trained interventional cardiologist, Dr. Krishnan Ramaraj. He is offering
outpatient management for Cardiology both prevention and treatment.
Endovascular intervention is a type of minimally invasive procedure that is designed to access coronary
artery through major blood vessels. "The technique allows us to make a small puncture or a very small
incision in the wrist, and then treating within the blood vessel to repair the diseased artery," explains
Ramaraj. "So, the trauma on the body is much less and the recovery time lot quicker than it would be
otherwise."
This can be very important for individuals, who have advanced cardiac disease� that includes
atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries) and identifying them early will prevent surgery or stenting.
"The primary types of procedures that we do involve either removing the fatty deposits thereby opening a
narrowed artery, placing a stent, which is used to reline and strengthen a weakened vessel" he says.
"Everything else falls around those two basic strategies."
