Saptak's mission is to preserve, develop and propagate Indian classical and traditional music.
Anupama Chandratreya, hails from a very rich Hindustani tradition, Anupama has sung in several light music events and delighted audiences in India, USA and Canada, for over 20 years. Anupama has performed at private functions, chartable fundrasiers, non profit events, Indian classical and light music programs. Anupama has been an active participant in various Ghazal and Shayaari events in the bay area.Anupama has also taught at Ali Akbar School of Music.
Born in Pune (Maharshtra) India, Anupama was groomed by her mother Dr. Jyoti Dhamdhere at a very young age. She has a Master�s Degree in Classical music. She then was fortunate to receive her training under the guidance of Ustad Mohomad Hussain Khan and further learned from T.D. Janorikar both of Bhendi Bazar Gharana. She has performed Marathi bhav-geet concerts with noted music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Yashwant Deo and other well-known artists, in several events. Anupama has released her maiden Ghazal CD � Saugat� to her credit.
